I hear it often. I’ve SAID it often. “Stop the hatred!” Gosh, there sure is a lot of it, isn’t there? At a time when we surely all know better, why is the hatred growing at such an alarming rate? Here’s my unsolicited opinion. #sorrynotsorry We are feeding the monster with our APATHY. Nothing threatens our future more. We are destroying ourselves with our own indifference.
I am white. I am conservative. I am a Christian. I make zero apologies for who I am, and who I believe God created me to be. I have many friends of different backgrounds, different skin tones, different faiths. All that matters to me is who you are on the INSIDE. That’s it. Period. I pray that my friends feel the same way about me.
Let me also say this: I am guilty of sitting quietly by & merely shaking my head in disgust at the hatred I see splashed across my newspaper & television screen. If I’m being completely honest, it’s almost like watching a heart-wrenching movie. I don’t see it played out right in front of me where I live. It stirs deep emotions within me, upsetting me greatly; but very often I turn it off and go about my day. I am truly sorry for that. That is the picture of apathy. We can’t just “turn it off”. We must take a stand. With our voices. With our votes. With our prayers. With our actions. In ANY way we can. We cannot sit idly by and hope for change!
Let’s stand together! It is ENOUGH. We will not tolerate hatred in any form. If hate knocks on your door today, what will be your response? Are you ready? Do not be afraid. God is not only on the side of love. He IS LOVE. He gave us all a free will though. The choice is 100% ours.

“But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” ~1 John 3:17-18
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” ~Galatians 3:28
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” ~Mark 12:31
