O Hoppy Day

Hello there, crafty ones!

It’s day two of Power Poppy‘s Natural Wonders sneak peeks.  Are you excited yet???  Well, you should be! 🙂

Today’s set is called O Hoppy Day, and I am SO excited to see this one come to fruition!  It’s a great set for all of those beer lovers in your life, and I happen to have a number of them in mine.

This set comes with gorgeous hops & barley images, a pint glass, and a bunch of really awesome sentiments….13 stamps in all.  It’s a must-have!

For my card, I stamped the pint glass bottle cap images onto X-Press It Blending Card using Memento Espresso Truffle ink.  I colored them using Copic Markers, adding a bit of a watercolored look by stippling the background with my markers.

Here are the Copic Markers I used:

I added a fun little touch to the beer “foam” with a bit of white embossing paste.  It gave it a nice 3D effect.  The patterned paper is from Echo Park’s This and That collection. I stamped the barley onto the circle frame with a white pigment ink.

The “o hoppy day!” sentiment was stamped in Memento Espresso Yruffle ink as well.

Here’s a peek at the inside of the card:

The pint glass was stamped in Memento Canteloupe ink, and simple bits of left-over paper dress up the top.  It’s amazing what a couple of strips of card stock can do, isn’t it?

Amazing Mums

  1. What a great masculine card!
This set looks amazing. I’m not a beer drinker, but everyone else in my family is.

  2. Never realized stripes of paper could look so good!!! Lovely shading on the beer. I know lots of guys who would be hoppy to receive this great card. Nicely done.

  3. Love the framing. The stamp inside
the card is a good idea. Fantastic card.
    thanks for sharing
