True Love

Hello crafty friends!

With the Christmas season behind us and a brand new year in front of us, I’m ready to put my focus on one of my very favorite themes…. LOVE.  As the saying goes, that’s what makes the world go round, and it really couldn’t be more true!  In this mad world that we live in, we could all use a little more love, don’t you think?

My card today was created with my sweetheart in mind, my darling husband.  Rather than using a typical red/pink/black/white color theme, I went with a fresh approach of lots of neutrals paired with bright, happy colors.  I think this would make a great card for a dear friend as well if we changed the hashtag sentiment in the lower right corner. 🙂

I used a super sweet digital stamp set from Power Poppy called Va-Va-Valentines.  It comes with six darling illustrations and four perfect sentiments.  The sweet little hashtag #TrueLove comes from the Good Thinking: Love Notes clear stamp set.  I printed the image in black ink onto X-Press It Blending Card, and colored it with the following Copic Markers.

It was so much fun to use all of those happy colors!  Goodness, I am ready for spring and winter’s barely arrived!

Here’s a look at the inside of the card:

I always keep the inside simple; but I add enough to make it cute too.  This sentiment is also from the Good Thinking: Love Notes clear stamp set.  The patterned paper is from The Everyday Collection from Avery Elle.
